Permissions

How NotGreed decides who may run each command.

Yapper's bot API shows role names, colours and positions, but not which permissions a role has. So NotGreed uses role permissions you assign yourself (some bots call these fake permissions).

  • The server owner can use every command.
  • Roles get permissions with ,fakepermissions add (role) (permissions…) or on the dashboard under Permissions.
  • administrator includes everything. manage_guild opens the dashboard and the setup commands.
  • Moderators can only act on members whose highest role is below theirs.

Available permissions

administrator manage_guild manage_roles
manage_channels manage_messages kick_members
ban_members moderate_members manage_nicknames
move_members
NotGreed still needs the real Yapper permission on its own role. If a command answers "Yapper said no", NotGreed's role is missing that permission or sits below the target's role.
